This Anglo
Saxon falconer's hawking swivel is a 3 part item. The top is
zoomorphic in design and represents 2 opposed serpent heads with
scales running down the back. This is fixed to the swivel
junction which is highly unusual as it forms a falconer's hand
clasping the bronze jesse ring. The patina is an even smooth
green with no pitting. A beautifully decorated rare item of
Anglo Saxon art. Found in Yorkshire.
