David Knutson's hoods, like most, are a conglomeration of many styles, influences and ideas. Dave's craftsmanship and hoodmaking influences are John Moran, Clayton Smith, Doug Pineo, Brian McDonald, Louis Davis, Ron Rollins, as well as several others. After many years of making Indian style hoods for his own hawks, he constructed his first Dutch hood only after expert guidance and encouragement from long time friend and his true falconry mentor, Jeff Farrar of Chico, California.
